Presently, Sea Cloud is operated by Sea Cloud Cruises as a cruise ship exceeding the highest standards. A brief summary of the fascinating history of Sea Cloud is found on the dedicated webpage of Sea Cloud Cruises where you also find other information on this marvellous vessel - for example the cabins, the public areas. During World War II the Sea Cloud was used as weather observation vessel - you can read more about her service on this webpage of the U.S. Coast Guard. Several articles on Sea Cloud are available via the Internet: article by Benjamin S. Lyons - article by Rita Cook. Photos of Sea Cloud are available at e.g. YPScollection and at Mike Johnson's Photo Galleries at pbase.com - see also this nice video with aerial views of Sea Cloud. The material for the video-clips presented on this page was recorded during a Western Mediterranean cruise from La Valetta to Motril in November 2005. |
