ex Royal Viking Sea, ex Royal Odyssey, ex Norwegian Star, ex Crown, scrapped 2021
Royal Viking Sea, the third of the famous trio built at Wärtsilä shipyard in Helsinki for the erstwhile Royal Viking Line. Like her two sisters, Albatros was stretched at the Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven by adding a section built at SSW Schichau Seebeck Shipyard. The videos on this page show her in her last incarnation as as Albatros of Phoenix Reisen. 2021 she was beached and scrapped as Tros in Alang, India. A sumary of her career and some photos are is available at Simplon postcards. In the German speaking world Albatros is known for having been featured in the TV series 'Verrückt nach Meer'.
