Deutschland was built by HDW at Kiel for Peter Deilmann Cruises. She is presently operated by Semester at Sea as World Odyssey. During the summer months she conducts cruises for Phoenix bearing her original name Deutschland. Her interiors are reminiscent of passenger ships built in the first half of the 20th century. (See also Partner Ship Design). In the German speaking world Deutschland is know as the ship used for the TV series 'Das Traumschiff' (following Vistafjord, Saga Pearl II and Berlin).
