Prinsesse Ragnhild
later Bahamas Celebration, later Celebration, scrapped 2015
Originally built as Prinsesse Ragnhild at Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft (now thyssenkrupp Marine Systems and served for many years on the Kiel - Oslo route, first in the livery of Jahre Line and later in the livery of the successor company Color Line. In 1992 Prinsesse Ragnhild has been streched and extensively refurbished. From 2008 onwards the ship was deployed on the Oslo – Frederikshavn route before being sold to become Bahamas Celebration. On October 31st Bahamas Celebration hit an underwater object. She developed a list and had to return to Freeport where all persons aboard were evacuated safely. See also: thebahamasweekly.com, cnn.com. Following this incident, the ship was scrapped in 2015.
