Sovereign
When launched as Sovereign of the Seas in 1988, Sovereign was the largest passenger ship in service. Built by Chantiers de l’Atlantique for Royal Carribbean Cruises, Sovereign of the Seas started the trend of building large ships for the mainstream passenger shipping segment - a trend that was pioneered by SS Norway, the former France converted for cruises in the Caribbean. François Zanella has built an unusually large model of the sister ship Majesty of the Seas.
