Theodor Körner
Theodor Körner was built in 1965 at the now defunct shipyard in Korneuburg, see also: www.oeswag.at.
For many decades Theodor Körner was the flagship of the erstwhile DDSG until MS Mozart entered service in 1987.
Theodor Körner was built as a multi purpose vessel capable of serving as cruise ship as well as excursion vessel. The ship features many technically interesting details whereof the most prominent is her propulsion system based on Voith Schneider propellers.
Theodor Körner was laid up for some years following the bankruptcy of DDSG. Following this lay-up Theodor Körner resumed operation for Favorit Reisen.
Presently, Theodor Körner is berthed at Novi Sad. It has been reported that there are plans to convert her to a stationary hotel ship.
