Viking Grace
Viking Grace was built at the STX Finland Turku shipyard (now Meyer Turku) to operate between Sweden and Finland for Viking Line.
Viking Grace is the first large passenger ship to be powered by 'Liquid Natural Gas' (LNG) which made her according to Lloyd's Register, 'the world's most environmentally friendly large passenger ship' (at the time of launch); Viking Grace complies with current 'Safe Return To Port'regulations.
Her power plant as well as other components such as the LNG tanks were delivered by Wärtsilä - see also this YouTube video of Wärtsilä.
The interior of Viking Grace was designed by Dsign Vertti Kivi & Co. A description of Viking Grace is also found at www.ship-technology.com.
