tender & ZODIAC operation
In ports where large ships can not berth, tender boats are used to bring passengers and crew ashore and back to the ship. These tender boats can be lifeboats, dedicated lifeboats or also local vessels. Zodiac Milpro is the prevalent brand of inflatable boats used by expedition ships to land passengers ashore whithout any port infrastructure. Below some videos on the Zodiac operation aboard various passenger ships - including facilities aboard.
