Costa Victoria
scrapped 2021
Costa Victoria was built for Costa Cruises at the Bremer Vulkan shipyard which went bankrupt during the construction of this ship. Following Costa Classica and Costa Romantica, Costa Victoria was designed by Gregotti Associati International / Pierluigi Cerri, in conjunction with Ivana Porfiri and Robert Tillberg. Whereas Costa Victoria was completed at Lloyd Werft at Lloyd Werft, the hull of the planned sister ship, Costa Olympia, was initially left unfinished, but subsequently became Norwegian Sky of NCL. Later another 'sister ship', the Norwegian Sun was built at Aker MTW Wismar (now Meyer Wismar) and also completed at Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven. In 2004 Costa Victoria underwent an extensive upgrade at Lloyd Werft where beside other modifications more than 200 balconies were added. 2021 Costa Victoria was scrapped in Turkey.
