Seabourn Venture
Seabourn Venture is the first of a class of expedition cruise ships built by T. Mariotti for Seabourn Cruises (interior designed by Tihany Design). It is noteworthy that the size of Seabourn Venture is approximately twice the size of a Seabourn Pride class vessel which originally had a comparable passenger capacity. This is by all metrics large for a so-called ‘Expedition Cruise Ship’. Instead of trying to be an expedition cruise ship, a refined version of this design could actually have become a better successor to the original Seabourn trio than the larger ships of the present Seabourn fleet. The distinguishing feature of this class of ships is the forecastle accessible to passengers: It is outstanding and superior to accessible forecastles aboard other passenger ships.
