Serenade
ex Jean Mermoz, ex Mermoz, scrapped 2008

Serenade was built as Jean Mermoz in 1957 at Chantiers de l'Atlantique, St. Nazaire for the West Africa service of the Compagnie de Navigation Fraissinet et Cyprien Fabre. (see also this page) Later she became the Mermoz of the Nouvelle Compagnie de Paquebots (see also Simplon Postcards) and served for many years as distinguished francophone cruise ship. From 1999 until 2008 she beared the name Serenade when she served in the fleet of Louis Cruises. In 2008 Serenade was sold for being scrapped at Alang.
